Return Policy

If there’s any issue with your order, our Customer Care team is here to help. Please contact us at support@booksdeli.com with your order number and photos (if applicable), and we’ll guide you through the process.

Returns — 30 Days

We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

To be eligible, returned items must be:

  • new, unread, and resaleable

  • free from writing, highlighting, or stickers

  • undamaged (no bent corners, torn pages, or scuffs)

  • unopened if originally shrink-wrapped

  • securely packaged for the return journey

  • include all original packaging, inserts, and barcodes

Items that show signs of reading or use are not eligible for return.

Returned items must arrive in a condition suitable for resale.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, notify us within 7 days of delivery.

We will:

  • replace the item or

  • issue a full refund

Booksdeli covers all return shipping costs in these cases.

Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns for eligible items that remain new and unread.

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection.

How to Return an Item (Authorization Required)

Before returning any item, please email support@booksdeli.com to receive a Return Authorization and instructions. 

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.

Please pack items securely in cardboard packaging or bubble wrap. Items damaged during return transit due to poor packaging may not qualify for refund.

Inspection may take 2–3 business days once the return is delivered.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned:

  • eBooks and digital products

  • magazine subscriptions

  • gift cards

  • bulk or special-order items marked Firm Sale

  • Print-on-Demand titles marked Firm Sale

  • items showing signs of reading or use

  • unauthorized returns or refused deliveries

We do not offer direct exchanges. A new order can be placed after a refund is processed.

Lost or Missing Packages

If your package is marked delivered but you did not receive it:

  1. Check with neighbors, household members, and your local post office.

  2. If still missing, contact us within 7 days of the delivery scan.

We will open a carrier investigation. Refunds or replacements are issued after the investigation is complete.

Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses

If an order is returned due to an incorrect, incomplete, or unclaimed address:

  • we can reship the order once it returns to our facility

  • a re-shipping fee will apply

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refund Processing

Once your return arrives and passes inspection:

  • refunds are processed within 5–10 business days

  • refunds apply to product price only

  • discounts, promo codes, and loyalty credits are not refundable

  • refunds will not exceed the amount originally paid

Abuse & Fraud Prevention

To keep prices fair for all customers, we reserve the right to:

  • refuse or limit returns in cases of excessive or abusive return activity

  • decline refunds for items damaged due to improper return packaging

  • require trackable shipping for returned items

  • refuse refunds for unauthorized or refused deliveries

Filing chargebacks after a valid refund has been processed may result in account review.
