About the Author
Luis García Jambrina (Zamora, 1960) es doctor en Filología Hispánica y profesor titular de Literatura Española en la Universidad de Salamanca, director de la revista Cuadernos de la Cátedra Miguel de Unamuno y, desde 1999, director de los Encuentros de Escritores y Críticos de las Letras Españolas en Verines, año en que también recibió el Premio Fray Luis de León de Ensayo. Como novelista, se dio a conocer con El manuscrito de piedra (publicada en 2008 en Alfaguara), que fue galardonada con el prestigioso Premio Internacional de Novela Histórica Ciudad de Zaragoza, de la que han aparecido cuarenta ediciones y ha sido traducida a varias lenguas. Esta obra marcó el inicio de una exitosa serie protagonizada por Fernando de Rojas como pesquisidor, de la que forman parte otras cinco novelas. También ha publicado En tierra de lobos (2013), La sombra de otro (2014), Así en la guerra como en la paz (2023) y el libro de relatos Muertos S. A. (2021). Junto a Manuel Menchón es autor del ensayo La doble muerte de Unamuno (2021). El primer caso de Unamuno es su última novela.
