Creating this book was such a collaborative mission - by our own writers, editors, and designers - we've chosen a collective name that references our little red bird mascot, Paloma bird. And Rossa is related to the family of red colors. So while the author, Paloma Rossa is not one actual person, she is very real indeed. And she believes in the spiritual and emotional well-being of your child.

When Paloma isn't designing and writing children's books, she's reading, crafting, quilting, cooking and hiking!

Stephanie Fizer Coleman is an illustrator with a penchant for playful color and rich texture. Having grown up in a rural area surrounded by nature, it's no surprise that furry and feathered creatures are her favorite subjects to draw.

When she's not drawing, Steph can be found sipping tea and reading books. She lives in West Virginia with her husband and two dogs.
