About the Author
Keegan, William: - William Keegan is the senior economics commentator of The Observer, having previously been economics editor and business editor. He joined the paper in 1977, after ten years at the Financial Times and a short secondment to the Bank of England. He is a governor of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and a visiting professor at Sheffield University and the Strand Group, King's College London.
