Low-Dimensional Halide Perovskites: Structure, Properties and Applications provides an in-depth look at halide perovskite materials and their applications. Chapters cover history, fundamentals, physiochemical and optoelectronic properties, synthesis and characterization of traditional and Pb-free halide perovskites. The book concludes with sections describing the different applications of halide perovskites for solar cells, light-emitting diodes and photo detectors, as well as the challenges faced in the industrialization of halide perovskite-based devices and forward-thinking prospects for further deployment.

About the Author
Zhan, Yiqiang: - Yiqiang Zhan is a Full Professor and director of Micro-Nano System Centre at School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in physics on the topic of organic electronics from Fudan University, China, in 2005 before moving to ISMN-CNR Bologna, Italy as a postdoc. From 2007, he continued his research at Linkoping University, Sweden initially, as a postdoc and then, as an assistant professor. He joined Fudan University as an associate professor in 2011 and has been promoted to Professor in 2016. He has a strong background in semiconductor physics and devices and is an expert in performance measurement and simulation. His research team has expertise in novel semiconductor-based optoelectronics, sensors, and memristive devices.Khalid, Mohammad: - Professor Mohammad Khalid completed his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India and MSc in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Later, he continued his PhD at the International Islamic University, Malaysia and worked on developing radiation crosslinked rubber nanocomposites. Prior to joining Sunway University, Professor Khalid was Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. His research focuses on nanomaterial synthesis, heat transfer fluids, phase change materials, and energy harvesting. More specifically, he is currently working on solar energy harvesting using deep eutectic salts (DES) and carbon nanoparticles based nanolubricants to improve engine performance. His research expertise covers many other important areas such as polymer recycling, radiation processing of polymer blends and biofuel. He has published more than 100 papers in international journals and refereed international conferences, five patents and seven chapters in books. He is a chartered member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK.Vivo, Paola: - Paola Vivo is an Associate Professor at Tampere University (TAU), Finland. After pursuing her Ph.D. in Chemistry with distinction, she received the Academy of Finland Fellowship for postdoctoral research in 2013?2017. She currently leads the Hybrid Solar Cells research team at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at TAU. Her research interests include developing novel organic materials and hybrid organic-inorganic systems for third generation solar cells, with current emphasis on lead-free halide perovskites in bulk and nanocrystals.
