As their sail aboard the Disney Dream's inaugural passage through the new Panama Canal continues, the Kingdom Keepers face a dark journey that will challenge the bonds of friendship and trust.

Events on and off the ship endanger not only the celebrated Disney Hosts, but the passengers and crew as well. Maleficent and the Evil Queen are clearly on a quest to assemble the parts of a puzzle found in the pages of a secret journal. As the Kingdom Keepers decipher and discover the truth of each piece, the horror of what's to come escalates. From the caves of Aruba to a zip line in Costa Rica, from the jungles of Mexico to the main stage of the ship's Walt Disney Theatre, the Keepers are tricked, challenged, and threatened in their efforts to stop the Overtakers.

Facing these unforeseen dangers impels the Keepers to try to make sense of disconnected clues, to navigate both the massive ship and the unfamiliar terrain of Caribbean islands and jungle, and to wonder about the validity of friendships long since forged. The Kingdom Keepers are pushed deeper into an ever-darkening reality toward a destructive force, dormant for decades, that may yet rise to power once more.
