Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a writer and creative director in constant search of new concepts for children's books. Francis Martin is an illustrator and artist living out in the wilds of Pendle Witch Country, UK, conjuring up pictures for stories by splodging ink and charcoal all over the place. He is a graduate of Cambridge School of Art's MA in Children's Book Illustration, who in another life did five BBC Radio 1 John Peel sessions. He loves dogs and travelling across the moors in trains.
