About the Author
Seanan McGuire is the author of more than 40 novel-length works, the first of which was published in 2009. She has received many of the science fiction and fantasy community's highest honors, including the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, the Pegasus Award, the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. Her work under both her own name and the name "Mira Grant" has been translated around the world. Seanan lives in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by swamps and forests and very tall mountains; she doesn't sleep very much. When not writing Seanan attends far too many conventions to be really good for her, dotes upon her very large, very fluffy cats and watches a lot of horror movies.

New York-native Afro-Latinx writer Vita Ayala graduated from DC Comics' inaugural Talent Development Workshop, soon working on some of the publisher's most famous characters -- including Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Suicide Squad. Their collaboration with artist Emily Pearson on zombie story The Wilds for Black Mask gained Ayala industry-wide attention, including at Marvel, where they demonstrated their talents on books including Shuri and Marvel Knights: 20th. The limited series Age of X-Man: Prisoner X followed, then the ongoing Morbius, and Ayala introduces a new generation of mutants for Dawn of X in Children of the Atom. In addition, they have written comic books featuring such diverse pop-culture icons as Xena: Warrior Princess and James Bond, as well as their critically acclaimed series Livewire for Valiant Comics.

Canadian artist Takeshi Miyazawa developed his style from his lifelong love of anime and manga. His unique artistry first flavored projects including Sidekicks, Runaways and Amazing Fantasy, leading to his crowning achievement at Marvel: Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane in collaboration with writer Sean McKeever. Other projects include a return engagement with Runaways and Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers.

For Alti Firmansyah, the beat dropped when she brought the annual rave party Tomorrowland, straight from Belgium to comic book in 2013. She honed her skills doing work like "Maximum Force" in Heavy Metal magazine until she landed on the charming miniseries Star Lord and Kitty Pride. It was her first encounter with the Marvel family in 2015, teaming up with Jessica Kholinne. She then slipped happily into reminiscing about her childhood heroes while illustrating X-Men '92.
