El an lisis de estas voces se basa en el hallazgo del investigador boricua Oscar Lamourt Valent n, quien plante en los a os 70' el origen maya de la lengua que se hablaba en las Antillas. Mart nez realiza la deconstrucci n de las voces del habla j bara, las cuales s lo tienen significado en la lengua maya. Esto podr a sonar chocante al que desconocen los hallazgos arqueol gicos del autor en su pueblo natal, los cuales demuestran la sobrevivencia de la cultura arcaica hasta fines del Siglo XIX. La conclusi n del autor es clara: si nuestros antepasados ind genas, portadores de dicha cultura, sobrevivieron hasta una poca tan reciente, entonces esos son nuestros bisabuelos que nos legaron su lengua milenaria, que a n hoy estamos hablando.

About the Author
Roberto Martínez Torres es un jíbaro moroveño, estudioso de nuestro legado ancestral. Tiene una Maestría (1994) y un Doctorado (2005) en Estudios Puertorriqueños del C.E.A.P.R.C. Fue maestro del sistema público de enseñanza del país entre 1973 y 2001. Fungió como arqueólogo en el Gobierno Municipal de Arecibo entre 1994-2014. Actualmente prepara el Vol. II de A lo Sucu Sumucu y su próxima publicación titulada Federico Cabrera Nengobá Un hijo de África en Morovis.
