Gaillard, Frye: - Frye Gaillard, former Writer in Residence at the University of South Alabama, and former Southern editor at the Charlotte Observer, is author of A Hard Rain: America in the 1960s, an NPR "Great Read" in 2018, and two dozen other books. He is a member of the Alabama Writers Hall of Fame.Tucker, Cynthia: - Cynthia Tucker is Journalist in Residence at the University of South Alabama, and coauthor with Frye Gaillard of the award-winning 2022 book, The Southernization of America. She is the former editorial page editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she won the Pulitzer Prize.Williams, Horace Randall: - Alabama native Horace Randall Williams is a writer, editor, and publisher. He was the co-founder of Black Belt Press and NewSouth Books.
