In the spirit of classic Sci-Fi, Fantasy, & Horror short story collections such as Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man, Stephen King's Nightmares & Dreamscapes, and Harlan Ellison's I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, we welcome you to the Volume 2 of the Aberrant Literature Short Fiction Collection, a periodic anthology compiling five of the best and most creative original Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror stories from across the country.

Our first story, Ben Nardolilli's Lecture Number One, takes you far into the future, detailing the transcript of a collegiate course examining the evolution of novels, and the effect they had on the shape of then-modern and future literature; novels written entirely by Artificial Intelligence.

In our next story, Tracy Sherwood's A Baby Cries, you will be introduced to Mitchell Withers, a man orphaned at youth who is about to meet his mother for the first time. His mother, however, is not well; disturbed, some might say, and Mitch is determined to get to the source of her condition.

In Rex Brooke's Toast, Henry, a slovenly, unambitious fellow, awakes to find that his roommate has been inadvertently transported into the body of a toaster. It's up to Henry to find a way to get him out, as long as he doesn't have to do too much work along the way.

Our following story takes you to an exotic world beyond the known universe. Interstellar beings Syzygy and Rinkus debate the nature of time, space and existence amidst the chaotic backdrop of nature in Joan Brown's Jikan.

In our final story, Allison Middlebrook's The First of Many, four teenage friends are on a diving expedition to explore the local underwater caverns. When an accident causes fallen rubble to trap one of them, they must try to save him before they all run out of air, but soon realize that they may not alone in the waters.

Each of the five stories in this second volume of the Aberrant Literature Short Fiction Collection is certain to provide you the unique and exciting experience that is lacking from the current literary landscape. None of these stories have been released before, and are exclusive to the Aberrant Literature Short Fiction Collection.

Be sure to stay on the lookout for future collections, and we hope that you will continue to join us on our journey as we search the country for the most creative and imaginative short fiction on the horizon.
