About the Author
Klimow, Ambassador (Ret) Matthew S.: - Ambassador (ret) Matthew S. Klimow, a native of Johnson City, New York, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1970. He dedicated over 50 years to military and diplomatic service, commanding infantry units and earning the Silver Star for combat valor. Klimow held key positions, including Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan. He authored Moral vs. Practical; the Future of Armed Humanitarian Interventions. Residing in Tennessee with his wife, Major (ret) Edie Gunnels, he remains active in community service and leadership discussions, particularly regarding the events of 9/11.
