Corbett, Kris: - Kris Corbett's life was forever changed at the age of twenty-two years old when diagnosed with a brain lesion after a transient ischemic attack. Facing this medical condition became a battle that lasted almost twenty-five years. Drawing on her experience as both a patient and a healthcare provider, Corbett brings a rare and deeply human perspective to conversations about trauma, healing, and the power of reclaiming one's voice. Her debut memoir, Bravely Bleeding, explores what it means to survive with grace, grit, and a tired grin.Kris was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and currently lives in Maryland with her spouse, their four amazing children, and three pugs who run the household. She is a registered nurse, former U.S. federal civil servant, and basketball coach who is passionate about empowering others through storytelling and reminding people that healing isn't linear-but it is possible.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
