A boy who feels misunderstood. A dog who just can't stay out of trouble. And a story that proves you don't have to be perfect to be loved.

When seven-year-old Xion lost his IEP at school, he suddenly felt like no one understood him-not his teachers, not his classmates, maybe not even his parents. So he began writing about a dog who always seemed to get into trouble without meaning to. A dog who, just like him, was trying her very best.

With the help of his mom, Xion shaped that idea into a story about two unlikely friends who discover that being "different" doesn't make you wrong-and that the right tools are sometimes all you need. This story, born from real childhood feelings, celebrates empathy, second chances, and the unique way kids make sense of their world. Perfect for any child who has ever felt misunderstood-and any parent who wants to remind them they're not alone.

About the Author
Ferrara, Xion: - At just 8 years old, Xion is already a published author with a powerful story to share. As an autistic child, writing became his way to make sense of big feelings- especially after losing his IEP at school. What started as putting pen to paper to process confusion, frustration, and change turned into a book designed to help other kids feel seen and understood.Xion hopes his story reminds children that their differences are strengths, their feelings matter, and their voices deserve to be heard. When he's not writing, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and is a voracious reader.
