Lappin, Mark: - Mark Lappin is a single father who lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his daughter, Alina Joy Lappin, and his elderly father. Mark's love of music is shared when he teaches students to play guitar, drums, bass guitar, and sing, as well as guiding them in song creation and recording concepts. Through teaching his students, he has witnessed firsthand the power of music and the creative thinking it provides.

When Mark shared his cartoon characters with his students and they all smiled at his creations, he realized the value of bringing his characters and stories to the world. It was his daughter, Alina, who is an avid reader and works as a behavioural psychologist, who encouraged him to introduce his characters through a children's book.
