Isabel Revuelta Poo, historian and host of El Refugio de los Conspiradores (The Conspirators' Refuge), recounts the lives of ten women who were part of Mexico's most emblematic events: from the Conquest to the 20th century. With deep knowledge of national history, Isabel offers a vivid anthology that honors the memory of the women who helped build Mexico.

Isabel Revuelta Poo es internacionalista, maestra investigadora e historiadora del arte especializada en historia de México. Ha sido catedrática en el Departamento de Arte de la Universidad Iberoamericana campus Ciudad de México y es fundadora del curso privado La historia sin mayúscula. Como promotora cultural ha colaborado con el Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (Conaculta), el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) y el Auditorio Nacional difundiendo el patrimonio, las artes y la historia de nuestro país.

Es autora de textos sobre investigación y divulgación histórica, como los ensayos La iconografía de los timbres mexicanos (2003), La historia de la cerveza en México (2009), Centurias de Historia en los viñedos mexicanos (2017) y coautora de los libros México 200 años. La patria en construcción (2010) y Cara o cruz: Miguel Hidalgo (2018). En 2019 prologó una nueva edición de Cumbres borrascosas, de Emily Brontë.

En la televisión narra historias --y desmiente otras-- en el programa El Refugio de los Conspiradores desde 2015 y presenta un espacio de divulgación histórica en el noticiero Es de Mañana desde 2018, ambos en Adn40. También conduce y charla con destacados historiadores sobre biografías de mujeres mexicanas en el ciclo Vindictas históricas de TV UNAM, desde 2021.

Isabel Revuelta Poo is an internationalist, researcher, and art historian specializing in Mexican history. She has taught in the Art Department at the Ibero-American University in Mexico City and is the founder of the private course La historia sin mayúscula (History without Capital Letters). As a cultural promoter, she has collaborated with the National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta), the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), and the National Auditorium to promote Mexico's heritage, arts, and history.

She is the author of historical research and outreach texts, including the essays La iconografía de los timbres mexicanos (The Iconography of Mexican Stamps) (2003), La historia de la cerveza en México (The History of Beer in Mexico) (2009), Centurias de Historia en los viñedos mexicanos (Centuries of History in Mexican Vineyards) (2017), and co-author of the books México 200 años. La patria en construcción (Mexico 200 Years. The Nation Under Construction) (2010) and Cara o cruz: Miguel Hidalgo (Heads or Tails: Miguel Hidalgo) (2018). In 2019, she wrote the foreword for a new edition of Cumbres borrascosas (Wuthering Heights) by Emily Brontë.

On television, she narrates --and debunks-- stories in the program El Refugio de los Conspiradores (The Conspirators' Refuge) since 2015 and presents a historical outreach segment in the news show Es de Mañana (It's Morning) since 2018, both on Adn40. She also hosts and discusses biographies of Mexican women with renowned historians in the series Vindictas históricas (Historical Vindications) on TV UNAM, since 2021.
