I Just Want to Be Me is a poetically styled short story, a 36-page picture book, influenced by my mother, who frequently told me that" if we put all our troubles on the table, most of us would take back our own."

I Just Want to Be Me is about a young girl who faces a new chapter in her life. Her family has moved to a new neighborhood, and she will attend her first day at a new school. As she walks alone down a path leading to the school, her fears and anxiety start to take over as she gets drawn into and influenced by the elements surrounding her. Escapism takes over.

Ultimately, she learns that the best person she could be is already there in her heart and uniqueness.

The book serves as a stepping stone for parents and grandparents to teach their children and grandchildren, from five to nine years old, lessons about facing life's challenges.

At the same time, visual tools became commodities, and the ability to write, influence, and communicate became the measure of my success. After 10 years, I left to operate my ad agency on Long Island. During that time, I became the President of the Long Island Ad Club, and a Marketing / Creativity guest lecturer at Briarcliff College, Stony Brook, and Farmingdale Universities.I now live in TN, where I am devoting my time to writing children's PBs, and one about the crazy amount of famous people born in Brooklyn, NY between 1860-1960.Weber, Penny: - Penny Weber is a full time illustrator from Holbrook, New York. She works on photoshop creating illustrations that mimic her background in watercolors and acrylics. She has been lucky enough to illustrate many, many, many children's books. She lives with her husband and two of her three children and as of this writing she is heavily lobbying for a puppy.Powers, Linda H.: - "Linda H.
