T. Owens Moore, Ph.D., is a biomedical researcher, university professor, and an independent scholar with Zamani Press. He is a graduate of Lincoln University in PA, and he earned his doctorate in Physiological Psychology from Howard University. Dr. Moore is an internationally recognized lecturer, and he is a published author of several books and numerous scientific articles. Currently, he is a Full Professor in the Atlanta University Center, and he has served as the Chair of the Departments of Psychology at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina and Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia.

About the Author
Moore, T. Owens: - BioSketch Dr. T. Owens Moore is trained as a Physiological Psychologist. He is a graduate of Lincoln University in PA, and he has a M.S. and a Ph.D. from Howard University. For over 27 years, he has served as a college professor, a biomedical researcher and an African-centered scholar/activist. He is a distinguished educator who appreciates interdisciplinary studies. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Morehouse College in Atlanta GA and an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Psychology at Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Moore has earned Tenure and Full Professor at two academic institutions. During his administrative roles, he has served as the Chair of the Department of Psychology at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina and the Department of Psychology at Clark Atlanta University. His specialty courses are both in the field of Neuroscience and African-Centered Psychology. Throughout his academic career, he has been actively involved in the Departments of Psychology, Biology and Africana and Women's Studies. In addition, he is a co-founding member of the Neuroscience Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine. He was also an active member of the National Science Foundation funded Center for Behavioral Neuroscience in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Moore has received federal and private grant support to conduct research on the effects of hormones and neuropeptides on social behavior in rodents. Through his diversified academic training, he has been able to study learning paradigms that can be utilized to enhance the educational performance of students. He is a 2009 U.S. Fulbright Scholar, and he is recognized as a social activist on an international level. He has been on four continents as well as the Caribbean Islands to teach and conduct research. He continues to have an impact on students and intellectuals in many countries, such as Salvador, Brazil where he is recognized as a distinguished scholar/activist. He has written numerous scientific articles, and he has been a popular Blog Talk Radio Host on the Melanology Hour with Dr. Jewel Pookrum.
