About the Author

Anna Claybourne is a science writer who has a passion for nature and wildlife. She has written more than 300 books on many different subjects. An avid sea swimmer, camper and wildlife-watcher, she also loves mythology and folklore, and writes about mermaids and sea monsters as well as countless real-life creatures.

Richard Mead is a writer and editor who specialises in factual titles for children, as well as film and TV-themed publications. He is the author of books on subjects as diverse as piracy, sport, prehistory and art, and has worked on projects featuring iconic licences such as James Bond, Harry Potter, Batman and Transformers.
