His academic research spans culinary arts, music, and cultural preservation, featured in international journals and conferences. As a certified Sake Sommelier and owner of Sato Restaurant Group, Joshua and his wife, Executive Chef Satomi Smith, bring authentic Japanese culinary experiences to the United States through celebrated restaurants including SATO and Sato Ramen.
