The Upanishads are the crown jewels of Vedic literature--mystical, philosophical, and spiritual texts that explore the ultimate questions of existence: Who am I? What is the nature of reality? What is the path to liberation? Rooted in the spiritual heritage of India and composed over 2,500 years ago, the Upanishads mark the culmination of the Vedas and form the foundation of Vedanta philosophy. Through poetic dialogues between teacher and student, they present powerful insights into the nature of the Self (Atman), the universe (Brahman), and the path to unity between the two.
