ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
What if cholesterol wasn't the villain in this story?
For years we were told that cholesterol was the enemy. That it had to be lowered, fought, eliminated. That it was the silent culprit behind heart attacks, clogged arteries, and premature death. And while we repeated that narrative without questioning it, we kept getting sick.
In Cholesterol is Your Friend, Dr. Carlos Jaramillo invites us to revisit one of the most deeply rooted --and misunderstood-- beliefs of modern medicine. With scientific rigor and clear language, he explains what cholesterol really is, why we need it to live, and what happens in our bodies when its levels change.
This book teaches us to look beyond the numbers, to understand the metabolic context, inflammation, stress, nutrition, sleep, and habits that determine the health of our arteries. Here myths are dismantled, confusions clarified, and practical tools offered to restore balance, read our test results with discernment, and make informed decisions together with our doctor.
Because to understand cholesterol is, in fact, to understand ourselves better.
