The various featured sites represent the rich history and culture of the Evergreen State from prehistoric Native American settlements to the first trading post/fort erected in the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful photographs of each historic place in its modern setting accompany each site narrative. Residents and visitors alike will learn about Washington's fascinating history as they tour the backroads to many little-known but historically significant locations.
