While on a safari adventure, a budding photographer meets an elephant friend while taking pictures of the scenery. The encounter turns into an afternoon of observation and discovery. From eating, to swimming, to pooping, elephants are just like us ... aren't they? Well, maybe not quite ...

For instance, when you spot an elephant, you might be tempted to offer her a water bottle in the sweaty, savanna heat. But not to worry! A sidebar explains that elephants are very intelligent animals who rely on memory to find watering holes they've visited in the past. Oh, and they also have big ears and can fan themselves to keep cool!

Throughout this wildlife adventure, fun-to-read sidebars add context by describing a variety of fascinating facts about elephants, while colorful, warm illustrations perfectly capture the playful savanna expedition in this informational picture book.
